In Pordenone, we had the pleasure of presenting “Giving Time to the World. Solari: A Three-Century-Long Story (1725–2025)”, the volume that tells the story of three hundred years of our history, spanning enterprise, innovation, technology and design. It was a special opportunity to look back on a journey that began in 1725 in Pesariis, in the heart of the Friulian Alps, and that over the course of three centuries has taken us to railway stations, airports and public spaces around the world.
Together with Prof. Mario Robiony and Dr Katia Bredeon, with an introduction by Alberto Bassi, we explored some of the most significant milestones in our evolution: from our artisanal origins to split-flap technology, through to the projects that have helped establish SOLARI as an international benchmark at the intersection of time, technology and design.
The event was also an opportunity to share the value of a heritage that continues to be an integral part of our identity: a story shaped by expertise, research, design culture and the ability to innovate, while always maintaining a strong connection with our roots.
