Main responsibilities:
Provides after-sales technical support services to direct Customers and/or Dealers (management of maintenance contracts, on-site interventions, repairs).

Role description:

• is responsible for the installation, activation, wiring, and maintenance of Solari Udine products and systems (Public Information Displays, Ticketing Systems, LED Lighting, Parking Management Systems, Queue Management, Human Resources, Access Control, and Industrial Timekeeping), both for customers in Italy and abroad, both public (e.g. Poste Italiane, RFI, Autostrade per l’Italia…) and private, also collaborating, when required, with internal staff;

• is also responsible for electrical/electronic/mechanical repairs, both on-site and at the company premises;

• collaborates with and supports third-party resources (e.g. subcontractors) in carrying out maintenance or installation activities (telephone support, spare parts, on-site interventions, repairs, training);

• decides, while minimizing costs, the inventory levels to be set up in order to ensure adequate after-sales support;

• participates in the acquisition of tools/equipment necessary for the correct performance of activities (e.g. repair management tools, measuring instruments, and work equipment) and is responsible for their proper use and operation;

• collaborates with Project Managers and the Quality function in the management of complaints and non-conformities.

Required qualifications:

• availability to travel in Italy and abroad;

• technical diploma and at least three years of experience in the construction and testing of electromechanical equipment.
  Knowledge of a foreign language is considered a plus.

To strengthen its HW division, Solari is looking for a Test Engineer to be based at its Udine headquarters, reporting directly to the Technical Management.

Role description:

The Test Engineer will be responsible for the design of test equipment, as well as the implementation and execution of functional, integration, and validation tests on electronic products based on microcontrollers/microprocessors, with peripherals connected via serial interfaces (UART), I²C, Ethernet, and other standard connections. The role will act as an interface between the production department and the design team for all activities related to equipment testing, both for finished products and end-of-line testing of semi-finished items (electronic boards, HW functional assemblies, etc.).

Key responsibilities:

Define and develop test plans for embedded hardware and firmware.
Perform functional, stress, and compatibility tests on microcontrollers and peripherals.
Validate communication protocols and device integration.
Analyze and document test results, identifying anomalies and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues.
Develop automated testing and inspection scripts and tools (Python, C, or other languages).
Create test and inspection documentation for the production department.

Requirements:

Technical diploma in Electronics or a degree in Electronic Engineering.
Experience in testing embedded systems and communication protocols (UART, I²C, Ethernet).
Knowledge of microcontrollers and hardware architectures.
Familiarity with version control tools (Git).
Familiarity with embedded Linux systems.
Ability to use measurement instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter, etc.).
Proficiency in developing test automation scripts (Python preferred).
Good knowledge of the English language (technical documentation).

• Managing technical support tickets related to access control and time & attendance software for both public institutions and private companies;

• Analyzing customer software requests and performing initial feasibility assessments for potential projects;

• Availability for short business trips within Italy to support the Sales Department with installation and configuration activities.

Required skills and experience:

• Manage and develop the portfolio of key accounts in international markets, with a focus on medium-to-large public and private clients;

• Independently lead complex sales negotiations with internal and external stakeholders, aimed at closing framework agreements or public tenders;

• Develop strategic and operational commercial plans for the assigned area, in line with budget objectives;

• Monitor commercial performance and analyze business opportunities in the assigned foreign markets (French-speaking area);

• Participate in international events and trade fairs to promote the brand and establish new business relationships;

• Willingness to travel internationally on a frequent basis (approximately 50% of working time);
