The Cifra 5 clock, the first in a long series designed by Gino Valle, wins the Compasso d’Oro award.
1962
Solari wins its second Compasso d’Oro for the Alphanumeric Split-Flap Displays for airports and railway stations, designed by Gino Valle and adopted by Eero Saarinen for the design of the iconic TWA terminal at JFK Airport in New York.
1963
Fermo Solari is awarded the Mercurio d’Oro, a prize recognizing the capability and commitment of individuals, companies, and organizations contributing to shaping the national identity. The award is based on criteria such as commercial integrity, entrepreneurial spirit, and professional seriousness.
